Enduring Stories

More than that, we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, (Romans 5:3-4)

These are the stories that the enemy doesn’t want you to hear.  He doesn’t want you to know that Christians around the world are being persecuted, beaten, tortured, and even killed for their faith.  He doesn’t want you to know about how strong their faith is.  He doesn’t want you to be encouraged by what our brothers and sisters in Christ are dealing with, and how they respond.  Through their stories, not only will you learn about persecution, but you will be encouraged to live a life boldly for Christ.

In more than 60 countries around the world, more than 100 million Christians face persecution simply because of their faith in Jesus Christ. Seventy percent of the world’s 6.8 billion people live in countries with high restrictions on religion, according to a study by the Pew Research Forum on Religion & Public Life. The persecution and lack of freedom often leave believers feeling like they suffer alone.

These are their stories. For more information on persecution and how you can help, please visit the Open Doors website
