God, who said, “Light shall shine out of darkness,” has shone in our hearts to give the light  of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. (2 Corinthians 4:6)

Fathers and mothers, husbands, wives, or children, or the company of earthly friends, are but shadows; but God is the substance. These are but scattered beams, but God is the sun. These are but streams. But God is the ocean.”- Jonathan Edwards

The deepest longing of the human heart and the deepest meaning of heaven and earth are summed up in this: the glory of God. The universe was made to show it, and we were made to see it and savor it. Nothing less will do.  True happiness can only be found in Christ Jesus.  I have come to discover than nothing else will satisfy the longings of our soul.  Blaise Pascal once said “All men seek happiness. This is without exception. Whatever different means they employ, they all tend to this end. The cause of some going to war, and of others avoiding it, is the same desire in both, attended with different views. This is the motive of every action of every man, even of those who hang themselves.”

We can not be  satisfied with anything less than Jesus.

How do we get there?  The answer, I believe lies within Luke Chapter 5, verse 11.  “They left everything to follow Him”  We are to follow the example of the disciples leaving behind the comforts and securities of this world, everything the world has to offer us, in exchange for what Jesus has to offer.  Nothing this world holds should compare to our joy in Christ.

He wanted to be the domino God used to touch the lives of other peopleA man once told me that he envisioned us as little dominoes in the world.  He said that he wanted to be the domino God used to touch the lives of other people.  He said that once  God would touch him, it would cause a chain reaction creating “the domino effect” and  everyone nearby would be affected.

Domino Ministries is dedicated to encourage, strengthen, and build up others to ‘be the domino’ and to showcase the work that God is doing through the people and the ministries  who are literally touching and changing the lives of those they encounter.  The deepest longing of the human heart is to know and enjoy the glory of God, to make His name known above all else. That is the heart of this ministry and a goal to be sought after, fought for, and pursued with our lives.
