Starting February 12th, we will begin an 11 week class on the Persecuted Church. Here is an overview of the schedule for each week.

Missions: Persecuted Church

Facilitators: Whitt Madden & Russ Kegel

Hundreds of millions of Christians today suffer severe discrimination, imprisonment, torture, kidnappings, and even death… because they have decided to follow Jesus Christ. Let us stand and be one with them, sharing the story of the persecuted Church. inspiring compassion for persecuted Christians, and empowering action on behalf of the persecuted Church.

What is the Persecuted Church?
Introduction to the persecuted Church and what God’s Word has to say about persecution.

Open Doors and the World Watch List
Introduction to the Open Doors organization, and the top 50 countries where Christians are most persecuted.

One With Them in God’s Word
Joining the millions who share our faith but not our freedom.

One With Them in Worship
Becoming one with the persecuted Church in worship.

One with Them in Community

What we can learn from the persecuted about living together in community.

One With Them in Power
Power being made perfect in Weakness.

One With Them in Prayer
Prayer is the Real Battle

One With Them in Generosity
Materialism and the Gospel

International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church
A  day to start praying for the persecuted

Taking Action

    Whitt, I have found that even Christians persecute Christians in today’s culture. While we are suppose to be the body of Christ, there are some 30,000 different Christian denominations in the world, some of which are quite hostile toward our own brothers and sisters.
